Prof Stuart Lane, WRN Senior Academic at Durham University, was featured in an article in today's Financial Times.

 

In the article, Prof Lane discusses how his research into historic patterns of rainfall to help more accurately forecast when prolonged downpours may occur has led him on some interesting journeys, including searching through parish records and reading 19th Century journals kept by gentlemen scientists.
