Evaluating Global Landslide Risk - Prof David Petley outlines the global threat of landslide
News:
Landslide hazard increasingly appears on schedules of risks to be covered by national catastrophe insurance schemes, and is now recognised as a distinctive hazard within the catastrophe modelling community.

Professor David Petley, Wilson Professor in Hazard and Risk, Durham University and member of the Willis Research Network is Director of the International Landslides Centre at Durham.

David's presentation explained the global scale of landslide risk, where the largest risk potential lies for insurers, and how this risk can managed through modelling and risk assessment.
