The WRN's joint seminar with the Lloyd's Market Association on Thames flood risk was attended by over 400 scientists, academics, insurance and business professionals from around the world.
 
Entitled "Thames Flood: A Level-headed approach", the February seminar saw a stellar line up of speakers present a range of views and topics surrounding Thames Gateway flooding.

 

Speakers included Alex Nickson from the Greater London Authority, Nick Haigh from the Environment Agency, Kevin Horsburgh from the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory and many other emminent scientists.
